The reader
Comes for a founder’s story — how a company started, what nearly ended it, what the person running it actually believes. Reads the archive, leaves, and comes back when another name is published.
For the people who built something
A banker before a credit committee. A buyer before a first call. A lateral hire before accepting your offer. None of them will tell you they looked. All of them will decide something based on what they found.

Who this page is for
Most people arrive at 99founder.com to read about somebody else. A much smaller number arrive because they have realised they are the somebody who should be read about. This page is written for the second group.
Comes for a founder’s story — how a company started, what nearly ended it, what the person running it actually believes. Reads the archive, leaves, and comes back when another name is published.
Has spent twenty or thirty years building something substantial, and has noticed that the public record of it is thinner than that of a two-year-old brand with a content calendar. Wants that fixed properly, once, by someone who will keep it current.
Everything below is for you.
What is actually at stake
People do not read an empty search result as “nothing to see here.” They read it as “nothing much here.” That is the quiet cost, and it is paid in rooms you are not in.
A supplier deciding whether to extend terms. A family weighing a match. A journalist choosing whose comment to run. An acquirer’s analyst building the first picture of you before anyone has spoken. Each of them starts in the same box, and each of them takes what is there as the measure of what exists.
You cannot control what they conclude. You can control whether there is anything substantial for them to read.
What you are buying
Every edition is the same discipline at a different scope: a long-form profile written from interview, checked against the record, published on a domain built for exactly this, and then maintained — because a page written once and abandoned starts losing ground within a year.
Choosing
The honest test is not budget. It is whose name people actually type.
Common for consultants, financiers, doctors, and any founder whose reputation travels ahead of the company’s name. One biography of the businessman — the path, the decisions, the doctrine.
Common for manufacturers, contractors, distributors and B2B suppliers, where buyers know the company long before they know who owns it. One biography of the business — origin, model, milestones, market.
The case for most owner-run firms, because the two names are asked about in the same meeting. Both records are written together and cross-linked, so a search engine reads founder and firm as one connected entity rather than two strangers. It is the only edition that builds that link.
Read this before you pay
We will not promise you a ranking. Anybody who does is either guessing or lying, and you should treat the quote accordingly.
What we control absolutely is the quality of the writing, the structure that carries it into search, and the maintenance that keeps it current. What nobody controls is the algorithm. So we report your positions honestly every quarter, including the quarters where they have not moved.
We will also decline work. A commission meant to bury an active investigation, dispute a regulator or push down legitimate reporting is refused, whatever it is worth — because an archive that takes those is worth nothing to the people in it who did not need to.
