99Founder is a publishing house with one specialisation: the commissioned biography of a business and the person who built it — researched like journalism, structured like infrastructure.
Why we exist
Search the name of almost any substantial private company and you will find a registry filing, a jobs board and a directory stub. Search the founder and you may find nothing but a photograph at an awards dinner.
These are people who employ hundreds, finance towns, and carry thirty years of hard decisions — and the public record of them is thinner than that of a mid-tier influencer. Not because the story is uninteresting. Because nobody was ever paid to write it down properly.
That is the entire business. Someone should write it down properly, publish it somewhere search engines trust, and keep it current. So we do.
The method
Most agencies give you one or the other. A copywriter produces something pleasant that nobody finds. An SEO shop produces something findable that nobody finishes. A record has to be both.
Interviews on the record. Filings, patents, press archives and court records pulled and read. A narrative arc built the way a magazine feature is built — tension, turning point, consequence — because a document nobody finishes cannot persuade anybody of anything.

99Founder is founded and built by Pawan Chauhan. The editorial standards it publishes under, the structure that carries each record into search, and the site you are reading now are the work of the same person.
That is a deliberate arrangement rather than a temporary one. A commissioned biography is, before anything else, a promise about accuracy — and a promise is easier to keep when there is one name attached to it. When a client asks who wrote a sentence, who checked it, or who to call the day a fact changes, the answer is not a department.
It also explains the shape of the offer. There is no sales team to get past, no account manager between you and the person doing the work, and no incentive to sell an edition larger than the one your record actually needs.
What we commit to
We will not promise you a ranking, because nobody honestly can. Here is what we will promise, and what you can hold us to.
Editorial standards
Commissioned writing has a reputation problem, and it earned it. These rules are how we intend not to. They apply to every edition, at every price.
Every number is traceable to a filing, a document or a named person. Where a claim rests only on your account of events, the sentence says so — “according to Okonkwo” is not a weakness, it is what makes the rest of the page believable.
Every profile carries a visible notice stating that it was commissioned and paid for. Hidden advertorial insults the reader, and search engines have become extremely good at detecting it.
We will not fabricate awards, testimonials, rankings or press quotes, and we will not describe you as a visionary. Specific detail persuades; adjectives do not.
We turn down commissions intended to bury an active investigation, dispute a regulator, or push down a legitimate news report. A biography is a record, not a shovel.
One email and the record comes down within a working day. No exit fee, no retention call, no argument. It is your life; we are only its editors.
