Fede Vigevani uploaded his first YouTube video as a fourteen-year-old in Montevideo. He found fame filming hidden-camera pranks with friends, then built a solo channel of vlogs, horror stories, challenges and Shorts that made him one of the largest creators in the Spanish-speaking world — and, in 2026, a performer who sold out arenas.
Montevideo
Federico Augusto Vigevani de Arce was born on 1 October 1994 in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, into a family of Italian descent. Uruguay is a small country of about three and a half million people, which makes his later reach all the more striking.
He was drawn to video and design as a teenager and later studied graphic design, a skill that helped him with the thumbnails, titles and visual style of his channel.
The First Upload
He created his YouTube channel on 16 June 2009 and began uploading while still in his early teens. For several years it was a hobby that grew slowly, as he experimented with different kinds of videos and learned editing.
Dosogas
In June 2014 he formed Dosogas with his friends Mathías Sellanes and Juan Pablo Barbot. The group’s channel specialised in pranks, hidden-camera stunts and extreme challenges filmed in the street. Its first video went viral within a few weeks, and the channel became a phenomenon among young audiences across Latin America.
Working in a group taught him how to produce videos quickly and consistently, and how to hold an audience’s attention. He stayed with Dosogas until 2018, then left to concentrate on his own channel.
The Solo Channel
His own channel developed a wider range than the prank videos: vlogs about his life, horror videos and stories that became a signature, challenges, and, increasingly, Shorts. Over time his production became more professional, moving from street pranks to larger productions with a greater international reach.
The shift worked. His channel grew into the tens of millions of subscribers, and by mid-2026 it had around 78 million, placing it among the forty or so largest channels in the world and making him one of the most-subscribed creators ever to come from Uruguay.
Music
Once established online, he launched a music career. His releases include “No somos lobos”, “No voy a llorar por ti”, “DEEP WEB” and “La definición de perfección”. Like many large creators, he uses music both as a creative outlet and as another way to reach his audience beyond YouTube.
On Stage and on Television
His live show, El Mundo de Fede Vigevani, played the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires eight times, all to large crowds — an unusual achievement for a YouTuber, and a sign of how devoted his audience in Argentina is.
In July 2026 he entered the Mexican edition of the reality show La Casa de los Famosos, bringing him to a large television audience in Mexico and further raising his profile outside YouTube.
What He Shows
His career follows a path common among the most successful Latin American creators: starting young, learning the craft inside a group, going solo, and then expanding into music, live shows and television. What sets him apart is how far he has taken it from a small country, building an audience that spans the whole Spanish-speaking world.
The Craft
His training in graphic design shows in the way his channel looks. Thumbnails, titles and colours are carefully designed to stand out in a crowded feed — an important skill on a platform where a viewer decides in a fraction of a second whether to click. His horror videos, in particular, rely on atmosphere, pacing and editing more than on dialogue.
Like many large creators, he adapted to YouTube Shorts as the platform shifted towards short vertical video, publishing frequent short clips alongside his longer videos. Short, visual pieces travel easily across the Spanish-speaking world, from Mexico to Argentina, and helped his audience keep growing.
He is also part of a close community of Latin American creators who appear in each other’s videos, collaborate on projects and share audiences — a network that has helped several of them grow to a global scale.
The measure of him is persistence. He uploaded his first video in 2009, found success only years later, and kept changing formats as the platform changed — from pranks to horror to Shorts to the stage.
